Affordable Small Business SEO Services

website optimization advice and info Is Your Website in Crisis?

Small business website owners have a few simple things they can do to check and see if their website is in ‘crisis’. Usually, a lack of traffic to your site is a large indicator that there is a problem. Being unable to find your site in the search engines (like Google) can indicate further issues. While these simple tests do not replace a complete website assessment, they are appropriate guidelines a website owner can take initially. Most likely, you already know if your website is working for you or not.

A Note From the Lead SEO of WebsitesInCrisis.com

There are far too many websites that are sitting unseen. Websites that are not working FOR their owners. These sites just sit there and do nothing more that provide a web address to put on a business card that is given to customers a business owner has already met.

This saddens me. What also saddens me is that the true heart of America, the small business owner, simply cannot afford the outlandish fees that are charged by many SEO/Website optimization firms.

I have discovered that there is a real need for quality SEO for small business owners that is affordable, personal, and effective.

How did I discover this? Oddly, it discovers me on a daily basis…everywhere I go.

Here is an example of a very common conversation between me and way too many website owners I meet:

Me: Hi, JohnWebsiteOwner - How’s the golf game?golf talking

JohnWebsiteOwner: Shot 4 over the other day! Hey, I heard you work on websites…that true?

Me: Yep, I sure do… how’s your website?

JohnWebsiteOwner: Honestly, not so good. It used to do ok, got a few calls a week, but now - nothing. It sure is a pretty little online brochure tho! Lord knows I paid enough for it :::rolls eyes:::

Me: Who does the SEO for your website?

JohnWebsiteOwner: SEO-what?

Me: The search engine optimization…. the service that gets your site to rank in Google for words related to your business. John, if you type ‘green widgets in Atlanta’ into Google, does your site come up?

JohnWebsiteOwner: Uhhhh…..never could find my website on Google. We hired someone to design that site, they surely optimized it, too, right?

Me: No, John… most website designers do exactly what they are paid to do - they design your website. Just building a website is not enough to have your website work for you. This isn’t “Field of Dreams” - you know, “Build it and they will come” :::laugh::: Just having a website is not enough these days….

JohnWebsiteOwner: Will you look at my site? I have a feeling my website is in crisis.

This conversation happens in one form or another to me just about every day. Sometimes it’s on the golf course, at the grocery store… many times it is a conversation I have with virtual strangers after the common initial question of, “So, what do you do for a living?”

My goodness, once I even had a new neighbor knock on my door late one evening just because she heard through neighborhood talk that I optimized websites. Turns out she is a website designer who is very good at what she does - but designers are not professional SEOs.

I am.

Like you, I am also a small business owner - I’m not some big, fancy corporation with a ton of overhead that reflects in the charges for my services. I refuse to get so big that I can’t offer the personal attention small business owners deserve. Staying ’small’ also means low-overhead….meaning an affordable website optimization service for you.

I’d like to help your small business website get out of crisis and realize its full potential. I’d like to help your website be as effective as it can be…and I’d like to leave you with simple directions to continue the process I’ve started.

I specialize in smaller websites that are specific to small businesses world-wide. The majority of the small businesses I work with are one or two-owner operations with few employees who desire corporate-like online exposure… without the big price tag.

I only accept a few clients each month. I find that keeping my client load low means I can offer what is most important to me - I can offer more personal attention to my clients, I can outsource less than traditional optimization firms, and I can keep my rates way below the industry standard.

I am a small business owner, too. I understand your website needs.

If you are interested in having me take a look at your website, please contact me at: jennifer@websitesincrisis.com. I’ll be glad to look at your site, run a few tests, and let you know if my services are appropriate for your small business website. Because of my limited client availability, I don’t contract my services to companies that will not benefit from them.

Feel free to read about my training, experience, and internet marketing certifications here.

I hope you’ll consider entrusting me with your website.
